Tamarisk Trust joins The Self Unlimited Group

The Tamarisk Trust, a charity providing services to people with learning disabilities across London, is to join The Self Unlimited Group. Increasingly, organisations are looking at efficient and more cost effective ways of working and this move is aimed at pooling resources in order to provide the maximum benefit to the people already using Tamarisk’s services, as well to reach out to many more people in the area.

Tamarisk will continue to use its own name and charity number and will become the operating name of Self Unlimited in London. Julie Riley, Chief Executive Officer of the Tamarisk Trust, is keen to point out that it is not a cost cutting exercise, but an arrangement that, in due course, will support an expansion of its service delivery.

Patrick Wallace, Chief Executive of the Self Unlimited Group welcomes the alliance. “It is a wonderful opportunity to be able to help provide services in a further region of the country. Additionally, the close networking of staff teams will help maintain consistency and quality of service delivery that will greatly benefit people using our support services, both in London and the wider area”.
