We are delighted to welcome The Tamarisk Trust as our London region following a merger that took place on 1 November. The merger demonstrates the commitment of both organisations in joining forces to safeguard the future of our services to people with learning disabilities. It will not only strengthen our ability to remain sustainable in the current highly challenging climate, but it will also create the opportunity to offer services to more people across London and the surrounding areas.
Our Chief Executive, Patrick Wallace, is delighted that working in partnership with The Tamarisk Trust has resulted in this outcome: “These are exciting times for us all. Tamarisk has been operating as part of the Self Unlimited Group throughout the past year, but the full merger agreed by both sets of our Trustees will enable us to take full advantage of our mutual strengths and capabilities.
“It has been relatively easy for us both to make this transition because of the parity of our histories, operating ethos and charitable aims. We are confident that, together, we will offer a greater depth of expertise to a wider geographical area as we enter this next most important phase of our alliance.
