The Horticulture Centre won its category in the South East Environmental Development Agency’s (SEEDA) Awards in November 2006 for its environmentally friendly features. It boasts twin wind turbines providing the electricity, ground source heat pump to heat the building, solar panels to heat the water, grey water recycling, sedum roof and environmentally friendly insulation.
